I'm going all in on LinkedIn Comments

Over the last 2 days, I have commented on over 50+ Posts with the help of a tool called Devi AI

The tool helps not just in finding great posts to leave thoughtful comments, but also assists in writing AI Comments

Now, I know what you're thinking. AI Comments are horrible, and I shouldn't be doing it.

I know, I wrote all my comments myself with the help of AI. Just took the tools to help in finding the right posts. :)

This inspiration came from networking with Founders at an Event I attended just last weekend in Goa.

Learnt so many new things and built some great relationships, and wondered, why am I not doing this every day?

Most people underestimate the power of meaningful comments on LinkedIn.

Not the “Great post 👏” kind.

But the kind that adds value, starts a conversation, or simply says, “I see what you’re doing and it’s smart.”

So, in this post, I want to share the exact step-by-step Video and the process on how you can use Devi AI to automate commenting on LinkedIn

You can simply watch the Video Tutorial below or review the guide in this post

🧭 Objective

This SOP outlines the step-by-step process for consistently using LinkedIn comments to build visibility, create new relationships, and generate qualified leads, without sounding spammy.

This system works particularly well for:

  • Founders

  • Agency owners

  • SDRs / BDRs

  • Consultants / Coaches

  • Anyone running outbound or building in public

⚙️ Tools Required

  • LinkedIn Profile (Optimized)

  • Devi AI → To discover relevant posts and generate AI-assisted comments

  • Notion/ClickUp/Google Sheets → To track posts, connections, outcomes

🔧 Prerequisites

1. Optimize Your LinkedIn Profile

Before starting, ensure your LinkedIn profile:

  • States whom

    you help and how

  • Has a professional photo and cover image

  • Features a strong headline and About section

  • Links to your services, lead magnet, or booking link

Why? When people see your comment and visit your profile, it should convert curiosity into interest.

🧠 Mindset: Do Comments Work?

  • LinkedIn is crowded with creators, but the top 5% consistently engage on others’ posts.

  • Comments create “micro-impressions” — quick, low-pressure visibility with your ideal audience.

  • A thoughtful comment = a “soft touchpoint.” You’re not pitching. You’re contributing.

  • In many cases, your next client is already active on someone else’s post — you just haven’t commented there yet.

🪜 Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Define Your ICP and Target Feed

Your efforts will be wasted if you’re commenting on random content. You need to know whose posts you're showing up on.

Your ICP (Ideal Client Profile) Should Include:

  • Job Titles (e.g., Founder, Head of Growth, Sales Leader)

  • Industries (e.g., SaaS, Consulting, Web3)

  • Geography (e.g., UAE, Europe, US)

Step 2: Find Comment-Worthy Posts Using Devi AI

Time: 10-15 mins per day

Instead of scrolling aimlessly, use Devi AI to surface high-signal, recent posts.

Criteria for Comment-Worthy Posts:

  • Posted in the last 24–48 hours

  • Written by someone who fits your ICP or is followed by your ICP

  • Touches on a topic you can speak to (e.g., GTM, hiring, AI, outbound, founder struggles)

Bonus Tip: Add Keywords on the tool to easily identify these posts inside DEVI AI:

  • “Hiring”

  • “Fundraising”

  • “Launching a product”

  • “Hiring a sales agency”

  • “Seeking advice”

These indicate buying signals or active problems.

Step 3: Draft & Leave a Thoughtful Comment (with AI Help)

Time: 30–60 minutes per day (10-20 comments/day minimum)

Use Devi AI’s “Comment Generator” only as a starting point — never copy-paste blindly.

Structure of a Great Comment:

  1. Acknowledge the post or insight shared (shows you actually read it)

  2. Add a short insight, question, or related experience

  3. Avoid pitching or links

  4. Keep it under 3–4 lines unless it’s a deeper post

Examples:

🟢 On a founder post about struggling with outbound:

“Totally get this. We've noticed that shifting from volume to context (like job changes or hiring signals) has 3x’d reply rates. Curious what tools you’re trying now?”

🟢 On a post about AI in hiring:

“Interesting take. We’re seeing similar shifts — but I still think human nuance wins for final decisions. Have you tested structured prompts for interviews?”

🟢 On a GTM post:

“Yes! People forget GTM is not a launch checklist—it’s an evolving strategy. Curious how you're aligning outbound with PLG motion right now?”

⚠️ Avoid:

  • “Great post 👏👏👏

  • Pitching your services

  • Generic “insightful” type replies

Step 4: Engage Post-Comment (Optional but Powerful)

Time: 10 minutes/day

After leaving a comment:

  • Like 2–3 other comments on the post (engage in the thread)

  • Send a connection request to the post author (if not already connected)

  • Send a DM if relevant:

“Hey [Name], really enjoyed your post on [topic]. Looking forward to following your journey!”

This builds relationships without cold DMs.

Step 5: Track Outcomes & Learn

Time: 15 minutes/week

Create a simple Comment Tracker:

Date

Post Link

Topic

Author

ICP?

Outcome (Views, DMs, Call?)

Aug 1

[Post Link]

GTM

John Smith

Yes

2 DMs, 1 Call Booked

Over time, you’ll notice:

  • What types of posts get attention

  • Who engages back

  • What leads to real convos

📊 Suggested Weekly Routine

Day

Action

Mon

Add 10 new ICP profiles to Devi feed

Tue–Fri

Leave 5–10 thoughtful comments/day (30–60 mins)

Fri

Review tracker and identify new connections/leads

In just 3–4 hours/week, this can yield:

  • 30–40 high-value comments

  • 10–15 new connections

  • 3–5 inbound messages

  • 1–2 new calls/week (in many cases)

🚀 Bonus Tips

🎯 Use Devi’s Chrome Extension

Quickly surface commentable posts while browsing LinkedIn.

🔁 Repurpose Comments Into Posts

If you find yourself writing a fire comment → screenshot or repurpose it as your post.

🧨 What Not To Do

  • Don’t use Devi’s comments without editing

  • Don’t comment on viral, irrelevant posts just for reach

  • Don’t write comments that look like disguised pitches

  • Don’t disappear for weeks — consistency wins

I recorded a quick breakdown of how I use Devi AI, how to set up your filters, and the mindset to approach commenting without sounding like a bot.

🎯 End Goal

  • Become a familiar face in your industry

  • Be top-of-mind when your ICP thinks of your category

  • Create warm conversations before the pitch ever happens

  • Build an inbound flywheel from LinkedIn alone
